I read this article http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070329/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/mexico_us_guns titled Mexico AG: US must do more to stop guns.
Basically the Attorney General of Mexico thinks we need to do more to stop the smuggling of weapons into Mexico. The funny part, i think, is anything we do to crack down on guns getting across the border into Mexico is going to impede the illegal immigrant trails too.
Another funny part is that illegal immigrants comming into our country is our problem, not a problem for the Mexican government to fix, but guns going into their country is our problem too. As bad as our government can be, I'm just glad we aren't burdened with the Mexican government.

Robb, can you elaborate on this:

How is it our problem too?
The US can't win either way. We can continue building a fence and patrolling - the only thing we can do to stop weapons getting in - but then we're the bad guy for keeping 'workers' out.
Funny, earlier this month our border patrol agents crossed over to put out a fire. Did they thank us? Not to my knowledge, they were unhappy that we did it without notifying them.
At least, according to the AP anyway...

Sure, I didn't mean that guns going into their country is really our problem, that is just what the Attorney General of Mexico was saying. I really disagree with him, and think the whole situation is absurd.
As you so clearly pointed out, we can't win either way. Whatever we do Mexico is going to want us to do the opposite. They have the absurd notion that we should have tight border security to stop gun trafficing, but to have tight border security to stop illegal immigration would be wrong.
I mean honestly, if they are concerned about gun trafficers taking guns across the border into Mexico, where is their border patrol? Why do we have to foot the bill. We should just build the fence, and be done with it. _________________ Anytime you want to hear the latest on the Republican Party of SL goto

I came across this article today. Whether or not you believe global warming is man made, I am sure you can agree that this guy ( http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070418/lf_afp/lifestylewarmingdeath_070418143046 ) takes it too far.
Why is it that every action that man takes is a global warming violation now?
I never was much into cremation, but now I think I might do it just so people like him have to breathe me when I am gone. _________________ Anytime you want to hear the latest on the Republican Party of SL goto
